County Employees Make Point-in-Time Count Annual Tradition

Hundreds of San Diego County Employees woke up extra early this morning to participate in the annual Point-in-Time Count.  During the one-day outreach event, volunteers walk and drive through local communities to engage with and collect data from people experiencing homelessness.

Though they fill a critical need, rising costs have many of these residential care facilities struggling to keep their doors open. A state grant program was recently created to help preserve and avoid closures and make some much needed property improvements.
