Coches Fire Recovery Event Offers Support to Wildfire Victims

Residents in Lakeside directly impacted by the Coches Fire attended a recovery resource event at the San Diego County Library, Lakeside Branch Saturday afternoon.  Government agencies, community groups and leaders from the Lakeside Fire Protection District were able to offer support and services needed to start the recovery process.

County Issues Emergency Proclamation After Storm Causes Flooding Damage

The County of San Diego is proclaiming a local emergency on behalf of the Board of Supervisors in anticipation that resources and assistance from the state and federal government may be needed because of damage caused by flooding from the storm January 22, 2024. A local proclamation communicates to the state that the County is anticipating significant impacts to both public and private property.

Vaccinations To Open to Teachers, Law Enforcement, Food Workers on Saturday

The County of San Diego announced Wednesday that COVID-19 vaccinations will open Saturday, Feb. 27, to people who work in emergency services, child care and education, and food and agriculture (including grocery stores).
